Sound Bath & Social

End your week on a relaxing note with happy hour and a sound bath facilitated by Holly Sepety and Kelly Szerenyi. Enjoy a unique opportunity to escape the week’s stressors while experiencing healing instruments from around the world.

What is a sound bath? A sound bath is a meditative experience where individuals are deeply immersed or bathed in sound waves, typically while laying flat on a yoga mat or sitting in a comfortable, meditative position. No bathing suits required!
Meditation has been proven to provide many beneficial effects including stress reduction and improvement in physical and psychological dis-ease. The vibrations created during a sound bath harmonize the water molecules within our bodies, creating balance and peace while decreasing anxiety. These overtone-emitting instruments stimulate alpha and theta brain waves which help induce deep meditative and peaceful states that are highly conducive to healing.

We’ll have a happy half hour from 6-6:30pm and the sound bath will be approximately 1 hour and begin at 6:30pm. We recommend that you wear something cozy and comfortable. SoulShine has the essential props for you to be comfy.
We are excited to be able to provide this special offering and look forward to seeing you!

Holly Sepety

Holly is a yoga teacher, a certified Reiki and Ayurvedic practitioner, biologist, classically trained pianist, artist and tarot reader. She enjoys playing unique and exotic instruments and incorporating music into her practices. A graduate of VCU, she has worked in conservation and studied water most of her life. Her personal sound healing journey began in 2017. After a trauma caused severe anxiety, insomnia and many sleepless nights, she discovered the soothing magic of tuning forks, singing bowls, chimes and the handpan. Researching holistic and alternative forms of healing has provided her with many tools which she is excited to share with and help others.

Kelly Szerenyi

Kelly started her sound healing journey in 2018 when she met her first handpan. During this time, she was retiring from the Army Reserves and was looking for something that was different from her very structured life. She was also looking for something that would give her community since she was about to lose this by retiring from the Army Reserves. Ever since, she has been dedicated to the handpan by sharing its harmonic healing benefits and meeting many wonderful people. In the meantime, she has also become certified in sound healing and is currently advancing her education in meditation and music therapy.
